I'm planning to update the board to the newest version tonight (3.0.10 I think). Just as a heads up, I'm planning to do it sometime between 9PM and 11PM CST. It usually takes takes about 10 to 20 minutes to do, during which the board will be down. Just a heads up.

It also sounds like there is some interest in plug-ins for helping control the spammer sign-ups, and for managing topic/post visibility. The former is probably do-able, since it sounds easy enough and probably won't break future updates. The latter, I'd need to see what's involved.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the update, but my connection to the forum is now timing out more often than not. Anyone else noticing this?

I've been noticing irregular time-outs for a week or two now.
