A story that plays out similarly to classic Looney Tunes/cartoon shows where the player is tasked with defending a baby or helpless cute animal that consistently puts itself in peril. Wandering through a construction site being the classic example. Not an original idea, but one I think would be fun...

(Highly spoily; I don't recommend reading this until you've played the game, probably twice) I really liked this one, although I don't think I've got the "winning" ending yet. Lemmy is a funny NPC and a great unreliable narrator. I got completely taken in on the first runthrough and the sh...

Waiting for the sequel, Punch the Communist. You are standing in an open field west of a white house. There is a person here who believes in publicly owned property and services. Clearly, they are exactly as bad as people who want to create a white ethnostate. It's hideously unfair how the latter g...

I have no coding tips but if your game has an exorcist for hire and does not include the line "If you do not keep up payments, your home may be repossessed" it will not be all it could have been.

I think it was Chandler who once said that one of his tricks is to avoid using the word 'of' as much as possible. It gives his writing that weird otherworldly feel. It's unsettling because you can tell something is different, but you can't say exactly what, which goes wonderfully with his grotesque ...

Thanks, Azure.
£20 early on will work for me (I have to get to London anyway so it's a drop in the... five drops or so) and I'm glad there are concessions. Also the British Library will be a lot handier for the Tube/Boris bikes.

The first text adventures I really enjoyed were Graham Cluley's. He only wrote two adventures, Jacaranda Jim and Humbug. I don't like the word "underrated" but I like them a lot and others don't seem to as much. I loved the humour and tone in both of them. They both had inventory limits, n...

Cool! Don't let anyone tell you it's not IF. If you haven't already, take a look at Phantom Williams' 500 Apocalypses, which is a collection of varyingly-short stories in an encyclopedia-ish format.

This is the third game I've made with the Versificator 2 engine. Of the previous two games, Draculaland was meant to play like a Scott Adams-style ultraterse adventure (although the dialogue ended up rather more flavourful) and Detectiveland was me taking the engine in its own direction. Zeppelin Ad...
