Hi, I'm a newbie, and when looking for games to download I saw a few in .zip format. Could anyone tell me how to download/play these games. Do they need an interpreter? Tysm. :)

My guess would be those are compressed. So, unzip them first?

Most interactive fiction games need an interpreter. One option is gargoyle, which plays most kinds of IF. (Including TADS2, TADS3, Z-code and glulx files.)

But, as howtophil accurately states, you will first need to get the games out of their zip file; for that, you can use a zip program like WinZip.

You can also download individual game files at the IFDB.

Ah, thank you... I feel a bit silly now. Cheers. :)

Thanks, I might give it a go.
