Game files .zip?

Hi, I’m a newbie, and when looking for games to download I saw a few in .zip format. Could anyone tell me how to download/play these games. Do they need an interpreter? Tysm.

My guess would be those are compressed. So, unzip them first?

Most interactive fiction games need an interpreter. One option is gargoyle, which plays most kinds of IF. (Including TADS2, TADS3, Z-code and glulx files.)

But, as howtophil accurately states, you will first need to get the games out of their zip file; for that, you can use a zip program like WinZip.

You can also download individual game files at the IFDB.

Ah, thank you… I feel a bit silly now. Cheers.

Thanks, I might give it a go.
