I recently released a Russian translation of my 2018 IFComp (En Garde), so I've been doing some thinking lately about working with languages involving non-Latin characters. That game used hyperlinks to sidestep the whole text entry issue, but I've come up with a more general solution that uses Vorple to transliterate the input before the parser ever see it. Not a real "native' solution, but it works across languages and might be useful for some games.
